Like the domestic dog, the Canis draconis is a loyal and fun-loving companion. They sound and act
very much like dogs, giving them their name. The Canis communicate in a variety of barks and growls, as well as whimpers.
Like dogs, they come in a nearly infinite number of coat colorations. One thing that I have yet to see is the color
of the horns and claws be any other color than gold.

One of the most iportant thing the Canis needs is exercise and play time. As naturally carnivorous
animals, as hatchlings particularly, they need to chew, stalk and chase things to keep their minds occupied. If left
to entertain themselves, they can be quite destructive. Like dogs, they enjoy chasing a stick or a ball, and will often
do this as long as their owners can throw it.

The Canis will eat nearly anything you give him, so make sure you feed him healthy food. Normal dog
food provides the nutrients and protein that they need. A diet supplemented by the occassional treat does wonders.
The Canis, though, can sometimes be hard to convince to eat as he is a most energetic and playful creature. Patience
is a must.

It is highly suggested that, if possible, you get more than one Canis draconis. It is essential to
their development and mental well-being. If you are unable to obtain more than one, make sure your Canis has copmany
from other species.
